Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2019 Taleia has a little more alcohol and lower acidity than the 2020 I tasted next to it. This is a riper and softer vintage for this Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Semillon. It has a soft and velvety mouthfeel, keeping the balance and freshness and the pure and elegant style. There are notes of white flowers and gooseberries, and it finishes dry and with clean, focused flavors. This fermented with indigenous yeasts, part in new oak barrels where it matured (50% of the volume) and the rest in small stainless steel vats and stone pools, where it matured with the lees for some six months, but the wine shows no oak at all. 15,0000 bottles and 60 magnums were filled in October 2020.
