Description
Táganan Tinto is a wine from the village of Taganana, which is made with grapes from different vineyards and altitudes ranging from 75 to 450 metres above sea level. This wine comes from vines between 50 and 150 years old, on old basaltic soils.
The grapes used are the so-called Listan Negro and Negramoll in greater proportion, although they also include the so-called Mulata, Listan Gacho and Malvasia Rosada.
Elaboration
Red Táganan is a fresh wine, with only 12% alcohol content. The grape juice is fermented with 30 to 70 of stems, always with its own yeasts and matured with fine lees, in 228 litre neutral oak barrels, for one year. This wine is very exclusive, and this is due to the particular soil where the fruit is grown.
Taste
This exclusive wine has a ruby colour with a violet rim, clean and bright. In addition, it has an aroma of fresh fruit with various shades of acidity. It also has a light aroma of spices, cloves and pepper, and a smoky touch with a volcanic and mineral background, without leaving aside the saline nuance. It has ripe tannins, silky texture and offers those who enjoy it, a finish that brings to mind citrus notes.
A wine that combines delicacy and balance.
The Táganan Red wine combines the smoothness of its ingredients with the perfect maturation, which makes it ideal to enjoy it with the family when tasting a good meal that includes cannelloni cooked with mushrooms, or it also goes perfectly with oriental food, game and stews.
Táganan red wine was and still is one of the best options when it comes to enjoy a good wine because of its elegance, its taste and the possibilities it offers us for a good tasting.
If you have not tried it yet, I invite you to live this wonderful experience. If you have already tried it, tell us what you usually pair it with.
