Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2017 Tinto Procura is a 55/45 blend of Alicante Bouschet and a field blend from old vines (80+ years) aged for 18 months in 70% used French oak. It comes in at 14.8% alcohol. This is where the winery provides a little more depth, becomes a bit more traditional. Still, this is very well balanced, even as it demonstrates persistence on the finish. It tastes great and shows fine concentration. It should age well. This runs around 31 euros in Portugal. There were 5,200 bottles produced.
