The 2020 Scharzhofberger GG is clear and elegant on the nose that reveals intense fruit with yeasty and slatey notes. Lush and round on the palate, this a creamy textured, pretty rich and still not really distinctive Scharzhofberger whose quality is very good or even excellent but also still dominated by the winemaking. In a certain way, this is unfinished and not really easy to qualify. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021.
