Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The sensation of ripeness in the 2020 Pegaso Granito was a little higher than the Pizarra version, despite having a little less alcohol (14.5%), a fascinating comparison every year. The grapes were fully destemmed (in past years, there was always a percentage of full clusters) and matured in 500- and 600-liter oak barrels for 18 months. The grapes from the granite are always harvested one week later, and still the alcohol is a little lower. It’s very tasty and fine-grained. The style of the wine is somewhere between the 2018 and 2019. 4,505 bottles were filled in May 2022.
