Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Due to the fruit fly suzukii, there was no Comtes de Eguisheim Pinot Gris produced in 2014, so the grapes were declassified for the Réserve. However, the 2014 Pinot Gris Réserve isn’t as precise as the 2015 and shows some yeasty as well as ripe apples flavors. On the palate it is rather wide and less focused and reveals some volatile flavors. The finish of this medium-bodied but a bit alcohiolic wine is pretty bitter and lacks the tension, finesse and elegance of a really stimulating wine.
