Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The 2013 Rudesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling trocken Hinterhaus (now a Grosses Gewächs though it is not designated as such except of the bottle which wears the GG sign) has an intense yellow color and lovely concentrated aroma of fully ripe (and dried) white peaches and piquant Riesling berries along with flint stone flavors. It is a rich and full-bodied, powerful and intense yet frisky and elegant Riesling with a piquant fruit expression and a marked acidity as well as a fruit intense length quoting ripe yellow nectarines and peaches. Though it does still not fly, this excellent Riesling will surely benefit from further bottle age.
