Description
Leirana is a young white wine, made mainly from Albariño grapes in the RĂas Baixas appellation by Rodrigo MĂ©ndez and RaĂșl PĂ©rez.
The vines where the grapes come from were planted between 1952 and 1982 in granitic and sandy soils by the sea.
Winemaking
This white wine is made by hand harvesting and selection. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks (60%) and oak foudre (40%). The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
Taste
Leirana is a white wine with a pleasant floral and herbal expression. On the palate it has a friendly entry, is very electric and delivers a balanced acidity, with good ageing potential and a long aftertaste.
