Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The latest rendition of Huré Frères’ NV Extra Brut Mémoire derives from a solera spanning from the 1982 vintage to the 2015 vintage, and it was disgorged in December 2019 with two grams per liter dosage. Bursting with aromas of green orchard fruit, dried apricot, confit citrus and toasted nuts, it’s medium to full-bodied, sapid and complex, with racy acids and a fleshy core of fruit, concluding with a precise, nutty finish. The solera’s age imparts an attractive patina but doesn’t overwhelm the wine.
