Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Jean-François ‘Fanfan’ Ganevat likes to joke, and he announced that we were going to taste a sample of ‘my Chambertin,’ as he was pouring the 2018 Pinot Noir Cuvée Julien. This wine is often my favorite among his reds, and this one was no exception. It is more Burgundian than the others, and it has power and elegance and tickles you tongue with fresh, vibrant and mineral notes. These 2018 reds should be bottled at the end of 2019, after the harvest.
