Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The very pale pink 2018 Rosado was produced with Mencía grapes and fermented in 500-liter oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, where it matured with the lees for six months. Even if the barrels are all used, it seems like some of them lend strong toasty, smoky and oaky flavors to the wine, whether it’s because of the wood or because of the wine. The imprint of the wood is quite noticeable in the rosé, with toast and caramel notes rather than smoke or spices, which is a strange combination with rosé’s delicate flavors. It’s different, light and polished. 1,200 bottles produced.
