The 2019 Morgon Le Clos de Lys has tightened up with an additional year in bottle. Delivering aromas of red berries, sweet spices and burning embers, it’s medium to full-bodied, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a saline finish, but it has a more introverted profile than the 2018 today. It’s a terrific bottle in the making, but it needs another year or two in the cellar.
