Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
After tasting the new lighter red released from 2017, the 2017 As Regadas, a similar blend of 50% Mencía, 35% Brancellao and 15% Espadeiro from a nearby property, felt a little rough and in need of some more time in bottle and/or powerful food. It has abundant tannins that give it a slightly rustic mouthfeel. 2017 was a warmer year when the red varieties achieved better ripeness, and the wines are more structured and powerful. 1,466 bottles were filled in July 2019.
